Back when all you needed was an idea and the internet was a new wide open space for you to figure out what technologies to use, why and how the internet will change and what combination of graphics, colors, shapes and above all content will make a successful site.

Jess started his career in broadcast creating on air graphics and animations. Special effects and character animations were his specialty. Once the internet got big enough to need advertising and chat rooms he was hired to work in the VRML or Virtual reality Environments/ Classrooms.

He worked through all the areas in the design department finally settling in as the lead designer. This was a thrilling time to be in the design department…

The term technology evangelist was used to describe his presales and sales efforts. If there was a plug in or way to get the clients needs across he would learn it.

Jess Carpenters combination of talent, interests and disabilities, That’s right finally a disability became my strongest driving ability.

“I am a Dyslexic, My dyslexia work more as a way to simplify and think about the easiest way to get the job not only done, but how I can use the same work over and over for different things. Ware the dyslexia messed me up in my spelling it gave me a way I look at things and situations more carefully, I tend to skim the big picture in order to see the bones of the situation.”

Dyslexia had held him back from a lot of Mainstream activities in school; Back in the 70 and 80 Dyslexics were treated like we had light retardation. It was all because I could not spell.

So the gift of breaking it all down to the point we need it, is what he is all about. Why do you want to be on the internet? , Who do you want to be? Should you use Social media, or Pay for words, what is a click or an imprint and what do I want?

Today, Jess Carpenter has a boutique SEO “Search Engine Optimization” Company working for non-profs and small businesses while he travels doing Corporate Events and “Stand Up” engagements.
